Aerospace replaced my trackpad
Introduction
As I described in my dedicated Vim post, I discovered Aerospace from Mattia, I was already aware of Hyprland in the linux world and it always fascinated me, but I never thought I could have something similar on MacOS. After trying it for some months, I can say that it has completely changed the way I interact with MacOS. 🚀
What I Like
Dedicated Workspaces
I always keep apps in the same workspace layout, so everything is where I expect it to be. 🧭
Keyboard-First Flow
I can switch apps and move around windows with shortcuts, without touching the trackpad. ⌨️
Automatic Tiling
I now use 100% of the screen. Windows are resized automatically when I open a new one, and I can still adjust sizes manually with shortcuts. 🪟
Fast Focus Switching
When two windows are side by side, I can focus the one I want instantly using a shortcut instead of clicking it. ⚡
Menu Bar Workspace View
I can always see all my workspaces in the menu bar and instantly identify which one is active. 👀
